Our Story

Welcome to Clouds in my Coffee! We are a Coffee and Cake shop in Todmorden, West Yorkshire. We opened our doors on the 30/11/2022 and have been very warmly welcomed by the local community.
We are a small women ran business. The owner Kate is a baker and started her cake business Drizzle City Bakes in 2016, A vegan cake business based in Manchester, well know for fun and colourful cakes. Needing a change from city life and feeling drawn towards the unique town of Todmorden. Kate moved in the summer of 2022. By Winter that year, Kate's dream came true and she opened her very first cake shop in her new home town. The business has now taken on a new form selling more than just cake and has become a family run shop. With Kate's mum Claire and her sister Rachel, both now working at Clouds in my Coffee.
The Shop

We have taken inspiration from the 1970's, creating a fun and vibrant shop with lots of detail in the design.
We have a small retail section in the shop with locally made products from small businesses and a vintage clothing rail.
There is a covered seating area outside, under our joyful orange gazebo! We have have a heater and blankets during the colder months and it is perfect for shade on sunny days. Whatever the weather, you can enjoy the views of the Todmorden countryside and watch the trains go over the railway bridge.
Inside we have a four seat breakfast bar which is great for watching the world go by.
The Cake
The cakes are the star of the show at Clouds in my Coffee. We love creating colourful and fun bakes and classics in our own style.
All our cakes are baked in house and there's always a lots of different flavours on the counter, with many vegan options. We have big cake slices, lemon drizzles, rocky road, carrot cake, brownies and giant cookies. Whatever treat you are in the mood for, we should have something for you!
Every week we always have our most popular flavours, with new ones added all the time!
We are known for creating extra special cakes for your celebrations. we have a range of cakes to choose from. We can also do custom cakes, any theme is possible!
You can easily order a cake from us. We have an online shop, where you can choose flavour, style and size of your ideal cake or pop in for a chat. We offer collection or local delivery.
Food and Drink
To accompany your cake, we also do very good coffee! We use beans from Kickback Coffee Roasters, who are based in Macclesfield. Every shot is freshly ground and made with care. We use dairy milk and oat milk, delivered fresh from our local milkman. We serve an exciting range of tea from BIrd and Blend, with new flavours for each season.
If you are grabbing a takeaway drink, you'll get one of our amazing Decent Packaging cups. Made from plants, biodegrable and in a bright colour or ace design. We don't do plain at Clouds in my Coffee!
Our savoury offering is Cheese Toasties. Using our cheese mix and with a choice of toppings. It is the perfect comfort food!
We do a lunch deal with a toastie, coffee and cake from £9.50 and a takeaway cake deal, 2 regular cakes for £6.
